What is NextGen Athletics Nevada?
NextGen Athletics is a premier youth sports organization in Nevada, offering premier (competitive) and developmental (recreational) leagues designed to provide young athletes with an exceptional sports experience. We’re dedicated to fostering growth, sportsmanship, and community through organized, high-quality youth sports programs.
What sports does NextGen Athletics Nevada offer?
NextGen Athletics Nevada offers a variety of sports for young athletes. Basketball, baseball, volleyball to name a few. Feel free to browse around our website to learn more about our sports.
When are the games and seasons?
Our seasons run regularly throughout the year, ensuring kids can stay active and involved. Games are typically held on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Specific schedules vary depending on the division and team placement.
Where is NextGen Athletics Nevada based?
NextGen Athletics Nevada is based out of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Is NextGen Athletics located in other cities?
NextGen Athletics will be expanding into other cities around the nation in the near future!
How do I stay updated on schedules, news, and events?
We recommend downloading the NextGen Athletics app (available soon!) and turning on notifications to stay up-to-date with all schedules, news, and updates.
DIVISIONS
What are the Divisions for league play?
Developmental Division: Designed for players with little to no experience, offering a supportive environment to learn and enjoy the game.
Premier Division: A fully premier division for experienced players, featuring scores, standings, playoffs, and awards.
What is the Developmental Division, and who is it for?
The Developmental Division at NextGen Athletics is designed for young athletes who are new to a sport or are still building their foundational skills. This division provides a supportive and encouraging environment where players can learn the fundamentals of the game, develop their confidence, and enjoy being part of a team without the pressures of a premier-level competition.
What is the Premier Division, and who is it for?
The Premier Division at NextGen Athletics is designed for athletes with prior experience who are ready to compete at a higher level. This division offers a challenging, structured environment where players can refine their skills, test their abilities against strong competition, and experience the thrill of a fully competitive atmosphere.
The Premier Division is the ultimate choice for those ready to take their game to the next level. With a focus on excellence, growth, and sportsmanship, it provides an unparalleled opportunity for athletes to thrive in a competitive setting while still fostering a supportive and inspiring environment.
Can my player(s) or team(s) play in both divisions?
No. It would be doing a disservice to player(s) and teams in both divisions if a player is at the premier level and plays at a potentially lower skill level in the developmental division. Player(s) and teams may only play in either the developmental or premier division. NOT BOTH.
PLAYER REGISTRATION
1How do I register my child for a league?
Registration is simple! Visit our website and follow the steps outlined for your preferred division. If you have questions about team placement or availability, feel free to contact us directly.
How does player placement work?
Player(s) placement is subject to team availability. If you’re not already on a team, NextGen Athletics can help connect you with teams looking for additional players. Availability varies by season, and tryouts may be required for some teams.
Are players required to play on a club team?
It varies per division.
Developmental division player(s) are not required to be on a club organization's team but is highly recommended. Club organizations provide consistent, structured coaching for player(s) to learn the fundamentals and develop their skills. If your player(s) or team(s) are not part of a club organization they may be placed with a volunteer coach who may not have the knowledge to truly help players.
Premier division player(s) are required to be on a club organization's team. If your player(s) are not already on a club organization team please contact NextGen Athletics Nevada and we can provide a number of organizations that may be a good fit near you.
What is included in the registration fee?
The registration fee covers your child’s participation in the league, including games, referees, access to facilities, and opportunities for playoffs and awards (depending on the division).
Developmental division will be provided jerseys pending they are not on a club organization's team.
Premier divisions will not be provided jerseys.
TEAM REGISTRATION
Who is team registration for?
Team registration is for those coaches who are with a club organization and would like for their team to play.
Who registers team(s) to play?
Registration for a team is completed by the director and/or the coach of a youth team or club organization.
What is the benefit of registering as a team vs a player?
Coaches can take the initiative of registering their team(s) of their club organization and take the burden off of parents to get it done. But either option is available for parents, players, coaches and teams.
NXG ID
What is NXGID verification, and how does it work?
NXGID verification ensures all players meet eligibility requirements. It is a free certification process that’s valid for one year. Parents must provide a copy of their child’s birth certificate and/or a recent report card for verification.
Why is NXGID verification?
NXGID verification ensures all players are playing at their age level as well as making sure they are academically eligible to play. Players who are failing academically may not be eligible to play.
Are there additional fees for NXGID verification?
No, NXGID verification is included as part of your registration and does not have any additional costs.
